Privacy Policy

Contact form (website & app). When you fill out our contact form, you provide your name, email address, phone number, and the message you write. You give us this information voluntarily so we can respond to your inquiry.

Push notifications (mobile app only). If you allow notifications, our app receives a Firebase Cloud Messaging device token from Apple/Google so we can send you announcements and updates. The token identifies your device, not you personally.

Latest tab (mobile app only). Our app stores an anonymous device identifier and tracks which posts you have read so the unread badge clears correctly. This data is tied to a device, not a name.

Website analytics. We use PostHog on our website (not in the app) to understand how visitors navigate the site so we can improve it. PostHog records standard analytics events such as page views, button clicks, browser type, and approximate location derived from IP address.

To respond to you. Information you submit through the contact form is delivered by email to our Scottsdale staff so we can reply to your inquiry. We do not add you to a marketing list.

To send important updates. If you opted into push notifications in our app, we use your device token to send announcements about facility updates, weather closures, holiday hours, and similar news.

To improve the site. We use website analytics in aggregate to see which pages are useful and which need work. We do not build advertising profiles.

We rely on a small number of vendors to operate the Services. They process data only on our behalf and only for the purposes described above:

• Email delivery services to route contact form submissions to our staff.
• Push notification services to deliver app notifications to your device.
• Hosting and infrastructure providers to serve our website and app backend.
• Website analytics tools to understand how visitors use the site (website only, not used in the mobile app).
• Gingr — our customer portal for booking, account management, and vaccine uploads. The portal opens in your browser; once you sign in there, Gingr's own privacy policy applies.

• We do not sell your personal information.
• We do not show you third-party advertising.
• We do not run advertising trackers or build profiles for advertisers.
• We do not share your contact form messages with anyone outside our team.

The Services are intended for adult pet owners. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Push notifications. You can disable notifications at any time from your device's Settings → The Barking Dog → Notifications.

Data deletion. If you'd like us to delete a contact form submission or unregister your device from notifications, email us at scottsdale@thebarkingdogaz.com with your request.

You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time.

To delete your account:

• Log into your account through our app or customer portal
• Navigate to Account → Manage Profiles
• Tap "Delete My Account"

If you are unable to access your account, you may request deletion by emailing scottsdale@thebarkingdogaz.com.

Please note that some information may be retained as required for operational or legal purposes (e.g., past reservations).

If we make material changes to this policy we will update the “Effective” date at the top of this page. For significant changes we may also notify users through the app or website.
